Another female University of Port Harcourt student was discovered dead in her apartment in Aluu, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State.
Adaeze, the student, is claimed to be a 200-level undergraduate accounting student.

Adaeze's lifeless body was discovered in her off-campus apartment in Aluu, a town near the university, on Friday.

The reason of her death could not be determined as of the time this article was filed on Monday.

This comes only two weeks after the decomposing body of Justina Otuene, a 300-level undergraduate of Biochemistry, allegedly killed by her ex-lover Damian Okoligwe, was discovered in the latter's apartment along NTA Road, Ozuoba in Obio/Akpor LGA.

Okoligwe, a 400-level student of Petrochemical Engineering at UNIPORT, was detained shortly after.

Chima Wokocha, Dean of Student Affairs at UNIPORT, spoke about the latest occurrence, saying the student's lifeless corpse was discovered in her off-campus house and transported to a health facility on campus by some of her neighbors.

Wokocha stated that the institution's management and the police had visited the scene of the occurrence, and that the parents of the late female undergraduate had also been informed of the incident.

"Her body was brought to the Chief Lulu-Brigss Health Centre by people who live in her lodge," he said.

"She did not pass away in the university hostel.

She died in her off-campus apartment in Aluu, and the scene of the crime was visited by university administration, including my humble self.

"The police were also present.

We acknowledge that she had taken a substance and passed out because a bottle of a substance was discovered by her side.

"The parents have come there and I think they are making arrangements to take the body."

When contacted, the state police command's spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death has begun.

"The Divisional Police Officer said a landlord came to report that he saw his tenant on the ground," Iringe-Koko said.

"When the DPO arrived, they noticed foam coming from her nose and mouth, as well as an insecticide close to her (the student)."

"As a result, they rushed her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

" The investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death is still ongoing.
