MOHBAD: SANWO-OLU REQUESTS POLICE AND DSS INVESTIGATION

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has directed the state Police Command to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the untimely death of music sensation, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, in collaboration with the Department of State Service.

The investigation's principal goal is to ensure that justice is served.

Governor Sanwo-Olu's instruction was officially announced on Tuesday through a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso.

Governor Sanwo-Olu issued a statement in which he extended his profound sympathies to the bereaved family, friends, devoted fans, and the community at large.

 "The government expresses its condolences to his family and fans." We are heartbroken at the loss of such a smart and ambitious young man who established himself in a very competitive sector.""May God grant his soul rest and comfort his bereaved family and fans."Following Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's instruction, the Lagos State Police have initiated a major inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the young star's death.

A 19-member police team has been formed to investigate the musician's death.In addition, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has requested the Department of State Services (DSS) to join the inquiry and broaden the dragnet through inter-agency coordination and the deployment of best-in-class technologies to expose the truth.

"Mr. Sanwo-Olu has directed that after a thorough investigation, all those who may have played any role whatsoever in any event leading to MohBad's death be made to face the law."As a result, the Department of State Services (DSS) has joined the probe in order to bring justice to the boy, his family, and the throngs of followers.

"The Government begs all those who may have vital information that could aid the investigation process to provide it to the investigating team.

"The government also asks the investigating team to ensure the anonymity and protection of all witnesses who may come forward with critical information or evidence that will help the investigation.

"The government urges all friends and supporters of the deceased to remain calm and refrain from making inflammatory remarks or reaching prejudicial conclusions on this matter.""Our most solemn tribute to the memory of the departed talent will be to remain calm and closely follow the process.

"Furthermore, the bereaved family should be allowed to mourn in peace. 

It is a trying period for everyone, including the government, the family, and MohBad's admirers. 

Any action that could exacerbate the grief should be avoided."The Police and DSS have been instructed to keep the public informed of their activities on a regular basis."
