JUST IN: DISPATCH RIDER LEAPS INTO THE LAGOS LAGOON

An adult has plunged into the lagoon at the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge in Lagos State.


The event occurred on Tuesday afternoon, according to reports.
Emergency personnel are currently on the scene, working to remove the victim from the water.


The cops have also closed off the area.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state Public Relations Officer, acknowledged the occurrence.


"The incident occurred truly," he stated. Marine police and emergency personnel from Lagos State have arrived. Efforts to recover his corpse, dead or alive, continue."


Amodu Shakiru, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services' Head of Public Education, also acknowledged the occurrence.


"We got a distress call at about 2:43 pm and we moved down to the location," Shakiru stated on behalf of Adeseye Margaret, Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service. There has yet to be an update."


Amodu Shakiru, the Head of Public Education for the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, also recognized the incident.
