CHURCH MEMBERS DROWNS AT BEACH HANGOUT

IN LAGOS, CHURCH MEMBER DROWNS WHILE AT A CHURCH BEACH HANGOUT.

On Saturday, Oct. 28, a guy drowned during a church hangout in Elegushi Beach, Lagos State.

The 34-year-old man identified as John was at the beach for a youth picnic arranged by an Ikorodu-based church.

As members prepared to depart the beach after the lunch, they noticed John was missing.

Someone mentioned seeing him go into the ocean while they were looking for him.

Lifeguards and divers were notified, but efforts to locate him in the sea on Saturday were futile.

Lifeguards discovered his body on the beach on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 31.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, verified the event to Premarv Media.

"The victim's family has been contacted," the Superintendent of Police stated, "and the victim's body has also been deposited at the Yaba General Hospital for an autopsy."
