MANY FEARED DEAD AS PETROL TANKER EXPLODES IN LAGOS.

Many people were presumed dead after a petrol-laden tanker burst in Lagos State's Sari Iganmu region.

According to Premarv Media, the event occurred on Thursday evening.
The origin of the explosion is yet unknown, but emergency personnel responded on the spot to put out the fire. People wailed as videos of the blazing flames circulated online.

Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services personnel were on the site battling the fire.

"The container was coming from Apapa," said an eyewitness who requested anonymity. 

The container attempted to ascend the bridge leading to Orile, but was unable to do so and went off at the tail end of the bridge. It then crashed with a petrol tanker, which caught fire."

According to the eyewitness, approximately ten automobiles and their occupants were stuck. 

"Fire service men from Iganmu station came scene," he went on to say.
