Pastor Alex Itedjere is accused of murdering a young girl in Delta State's Agbarha-Otor village, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
The victim's remains were recovered in the pastor's home.
According to PREMARV MEDIA, the clergyman slaughtered the young girl with a machete.
Details about why he killed the deceased were hazy at the time of this investigation.
At the moment, enraged youngsters from the community have taken to the streets to avenge the death of the young girl.
They were about to lynch the clergyman if the cops hadn't intervened in time.
Comrade Israel Joe, a human rights activist, is demanding justice for the young child.
He urged Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass, to quickly investigate and prosecute the suspect in accordance with the law.
